Our name honors the rich legacy of punk and feminist counterculture that defined 1990s Portland- a city where bands like Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill, and Bratmobile used music as a vehicle for empowerment, resistance, and raw creativity. The Cherry Bombs FC carries that same brash, unapologetic spirit into the soccer space: loud, proud, and impossible to ignore.We'll kick off our inaugural season in May 2026, bringing pre-professional women's soccer to Portland with the same energy, creativity, and community-first ethos that's become our organization's signature.
