connie bisson

For her Cherry Bombs collection, Connie leaned into maximalism, bold color combinations, energetic typography, and playful visual layering.

One unexpected source of inspiration for Connie is F1, which often blends motorsports aesthetics with vibrant fashion-forward design. She brought that same energy to the Cherry Bombs project, imagining what a piece of supporter gear might look like if it embraced bright palettes, confident typography, and a sense of playful chaos.

The result is a collection that feels bold, energetic, and a little mischievous, capturing the spirit of the Cherry Bombs with what Connie describes as “cheeky fun mess.”

poster

Connie’s poster for the Portland Cherry Bombs FC centers on the bold phrase “Strike the Fuse: Cherry Bomb,” surrounded by a playful mix of stars, cherries, and graphic shapes. Set against a bright pink background, the design layers a contrasting black type with a textured, script-style “Bomb!” that feels explosive and energetic.

Decorative borders and scattered icons create a sense of organized chaos, pulling the eye around the composition like a fast-moving match. Subtle nods to sport, like ball-inspired graphics, are woven into the design, grounding it in the team’s identity while keeping things unexpected. Inspired by maximalism and the high-impact visual style of Formula 1, Connie blends structure with spontaneity through bold typography and busy, layered elements. The result is a vibrant, cheeky poster that feels loud, fun, and full of personality.
