Poster
Angela’s poster celebrates both the energy of the Cherry Bombs and the city that supports them.
The design centers on a powerful kicking motion, capturing the explosive moment when a player launches the ball forward. Surrounding that action is a vibrant collage of Portland imagery: the Tom McCall waterfront skyline, bridges, blooming cherry blossoms, and playful graphic shapes that give the piece movement and rhythm.
The composition feels like a love letter to Portland in the spring. Soft pink blossoms and bright colors evoke the feeling of walking along the waterfront when the cherry trees are in bloom, while the bold soccer imagery anchors the design in the excitement of matchday.
The poster balances sentiment and energy, creating something that feels both commemorative and lively, reflecting the spirit of the team and the community around it.

Scarf
Angela’s scarf design focuses on one of the most recognizable visual elements of her poster: the cherry blossom motif.
By isolating the blossom symbol, Angela transforms the scarf into something that feels both sporty and symbolic. The blossoms reference Portland’s springtime beauty while also nodding to the Cherry Bombs identity. The result is a scarf that feels celebratory and meaningful at the same time, an energetic piece of supporter gear that also acts as a small tribute to the city.
Angela describes the spirit of the design in three words:
Energetic. Sentimental. Commemorative.Â
